Nigerian music producer and Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy has announced a technology scholarship programme offering young Nigerians up to 100 per cent tuition discounts to acquire digital skills in 2027.

The programme, known as the Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship 2027, was unveiled in partnership with TS Academy, a training institution offering technology and digital skills courses.

The initiative is aimed at helping young people access training in fields that can open opportunities in the digital economy.

Courses covered by the scholarship include artificial intelligence and automation, data analytics, cybersecurity, software development, digital marketing, content creation and product design.

Other areas include data science, graphic design, virtual assistance, project management, product management, DevOps engineering, and frontend and backend development. According to TS Academy, most of the courses are beginner-friendly and do not require applicants to have previous experience in technology.

Successful applicants may receive tuition discounts of up to 100 per cent, depending on their scholarship awards. The programme also offers a discount on the application fee. Beyond financial assistance, the initiative provides practical training, mentorship, internship opportunities and job placement support to help participants develop relevant skills.

The programme also includes plans to provide 50 laptops to selected beneficiaries, while 500 students may receive internet data support. However, the additional support is subject to eligibility, demonstrated need and the availability of resources.

Don Jazzy announced the initiative in a video shared on social media, encouraging young people to prioritise education and skill acquisition.

The scholarship comes amid growing interest in digital skills as more industries adopt technology and seek workers with relevant technical knowledge.

For young Nigerians interested in the programme, the range of courses offers opportunities to explore different career paths, from software development and cybersecurity to digital marketing and data analysis.

Interested applicants can visit the scholarship website at https://donjazzy.tsacademyonline.com/ to review the available courses and application requirements.

The programme’s benefits vary according to the scholarship awarded, and applicants should check the terms carefully, particularly the application fee and conditions for receiving laptop or data support.
